Our Innovation Fund was created as a result of the increased thirst for information, advice, evidence and funding to integrate rewilding into the way that the land and sea are managed. This is within a context of surging global recognition of the potential of nature-based solutions to address the climate and biodiversity crisis. Securing early stage funding is often a barrier for projects, and this funding is a powerful catalyst to foster the scale and ambition of rewilding across Britain.

The Innovation Fund is breathing life into opportunities, acting as a catalyst for change. We need to ‘Think Big, Act Wild’ to create innovative approaches to large-scale nature restoration. With your support we will directly support embryonic and mature rewilding projects aiming to try something new, to restore the ecological functions on which we all depend; to help communities diversify through local nature-driven economies; and to reconnect us all with the benefits of wilder nature.
