The world's most trafficked mammal is on the IUCN Red List, threatened with extinction. Vital to biodiversity, pangolins help disperse seeds and control insects, yet are illegally poached in their tens of thousands to meet wildlife trade demand. Please protect pangolins before they're lost forever.

In the first half of 2019 alone, nearly 200,000 trafficked pangolins were seized by customs officials. Driven by demand for pangolin products these unique mammals are threatened with extinction. Killed for their scales used in traditional Chinese medicine, or served as an East Asian delicacy, the four Asian pangolin species are hunted to near extinction, the four African species are being poached in record numbers to meet demand. Since 2012 over one million pangolins were trafficked.

Working with our local grassroots partners, PCRF, our approach to conserve the pangolins and help stop their extinction addresses three key areas: to research and build understanding and knowledge of pangolins, their habits and habitats; work with local people by employing community rangers, and provide community food packs to prevent pangolins being hunted for meat; educate people and local school children on the importance of pangolin conservation and its essential role in local biodiversity.
