    * Tackling river pollution from littering, plastic, sewage and industry. * Addressing poor walking access to rivers that prevents local people from enjoying their local river. * Tackling damage to river banks and river channels to improve wildlife in and along our rivers. * Addressing a lack of monitoring of the river environment to assess what improvement works are required.

Working with local communities, we will organise, supervise and provide technical expertise to volunteer working parties to clean up rivers and repair damage to river channels. Volunteer working parties will help improve access to rivers, by managing vegetation and making footpaths safe. We will train volunteer River Guardians in monitoring methods to assess river water quality and identify animals living in rivers. Deliver education activities for schools and youth groups about local rivers.
