Situation
We believe social ventures present the best lever to create change. They take the best parts of the business and non-profit worlds: Anyone can create one; they prioritise people (/impact) over profits; their products/services are centered on users as customers; they are seeking systemic change; and demand is the only ceiling to growth. But, there's a bottleneck at the earliest stages of the startup pipeline - before entrepreneurs have generated seed investment ($100,000+) - the “pioneer gap”.
Solution
United Social Ventures is creating a bridge for social entrepreneurs over the pioneer gap. We’ve created a roadmap with over 121 step and tools to help them progress from the very start of their journeys to growth. With each step, innovators can access trainings, coaching, and connections to assist them be able to progress more quickly, learn for failure rather than be discouraged, and ultimately build their impact and business models and raise funding to grow.
