In Peterborough, there is a high demand to support the homeless. At LPP we see over 1 new homeless person each day. Not only have people lost homes, many come with serious underlying life and health challenges. Each day we support 20-30 people who often have not eaten for days or had access to washing facilities. The pandemic has had a significant impact on the mental wellbeing of all in society, and there has been a surge in the need for drugs/substance misuse and accommodation support.

We run a multi-agency centre; ‘The Garden House’, Peterborough’s central hub where rough sleepers can access a range of support services. The system is complex and our work not only gives one to one care and love for the most vulnerable and marginalised in society but we also work to overcome complex organisational systems barriers and help in unravelling the complexities of support pathways. Every day we look to solve the problem of hopelessness with love and practical, professional support.
