AMAT UK's Alive and Singing Choir is not just a signing group - its a weekly opportunity that allows homeless and vulnerable adults within our community to reduce their social isolation, improve their mental wellbeing and increase their confidence in a safe and fun environment.

Situation
People become homeless for different reasons. Members of the homeless community often have multiple and complex needs, in addition to their housing needs. This can include poor physical health and mental health difficulties, alongside harmful coping mechanisms often caused by past trauma and abuse, or adverse life events, such as bereavement, job loss or relationship breakdown. AMAT UK works with each individual to tackle the reasons they became homeless and ensure they never are again.
Solution
AMAT UK offer a variety of activities and opportunities that develop personal and social skills, reduce anxiety and isolation and increase well being. Alive and Singing is a weekly singing group that meets to sing, dance and feel good. it is one of our most consistently attended activities, which has resulted in significant outcomes. 97% of participants said that Alive and Singing has increased their confidence 98% of participants said that Alive and Singing impacted their wellbeing positively
