Situation
The climate emergency means it is vital Londoners pull together to help London achieve its target to become a carbon neutral city by 2030. Britain has lost an estimated 50% of its biodiversity since the industrial revolution. We have also seen a massive leap in anxiety and depression levels in recent years.
Solution
Beautifying London's greenspaces will help on all these fronts - by improving carbon capture, creating new habitats, and through the solace there is to be found in nature. This project will equip volunteer Friends of the Park groups (who are donating their time, knowledge and muscle) with the resources they need to plant trees, hedgerows and other wildlife friendly areas, along with providing capacity building support and linking them up to relevant expertise.
