The cost-of-living crisis and the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic continue to impact children, young people, and music-making in north Wales. Young people have few opportunities to gain valuable experience and skills to support their future employability in music as well as in varied management roles; children’s well-being, self-confidence and engagement with education continue to be low; and there is a lack of opportunity to engage with, and benefit from, live classical music in north Wales.

From our Local Stars platform for local musicians, composition workshops for secondary school children, children-led music-making in primary schools and our pay-what-you-can concerts and relaxed concerts we’re connecting people young and old across north Wales through music and enhancing their well-being through a shared love of music. By participating young people will learn important skills & gain invaluable experience to support their future career aspirations.
