At Dig Deep, we believe everyone has a basic right to clean water, sanitation and good hygiene (WASH). Our purpose is to collaborate with the Kenyan government, businesses and communities to transform the provision of WASH in Bomet County- one of the most challenging & least resourced areas in Kenya

Situation
Where we work in Kenya, 8 out of 10 people lack access to clean water, safe toilets and good hygiene. Most residents live in rural communities and spend hours each day walking to collect dirty water or find a safe place to relieve themselves. Dirty water and poor hygiene spread disease, meaning even more time is lost to sickness - time that could have been spent on work or education. For a child, this can mean the difference between dropping out of primary school and completing a full education.
Solution
Taking an integrated approach, using training, education and advocacy, we implement practical immediate solutions and build long-term partnerships for change. With your support, Dig Deep could roll out lifesaving interventions for 15,000 people by mobilising communities in Bomet County to reach every household with a toilet and place to wash their hands. We could conduct WASH access surveys to determine communities' needs over the long-term and provide vital hygiene education to schoolchildren.
