Violence against women and girls is widely recognised as a global endemic problem. Whilst there are many laws, policies and guidelines which should ensure the investigation and prosecution of perpetrators of such violence, they aren’t always being followed or utilised as they should be. This leads to further trauma for victims and can mean perpetrators are free to abuse again. Without understanding the legal recourses available such injustices will remain unchallenged.

We provide specialist training to frontline women’s sector organisations to upskill them to identify police duties and failures around domestic violence, sexual violence, and other areas of male violence. They learn how to challenge failures using complaints systems, and other legal mechanisms, and we facilitate access to lawyers where needed through our specialist nationwide legal reference panel. We have trained many organisations already but the demand is increasing every year.
