Too often people face a financial barrier to pursuing interests they feel are important to their mental wellbeing. This can result in social isolation. Doing family history enables a wide range of people to connect in a virtual community, sharing information and stories for the benefit of all. Use of our websites provides free access to enable that interaction that is so beneficial, but without more funding we may not be able to stay free or continue to evolve to meet our users' needs.

We will evolve our data and technology in order to ensure that family history remains the story of everyone. Our core purpose is to deliver free access to quality information. Our developers will upgrade and evolve our websites so that they remain secure and reliable and even easier to use. Our volunteers will build up the coverage of our records so that even more people can find their stories. We aim to promote greater and wider participation for individuals and groups.
