West London is an area of deep inequality. Due to the current system in the UK, 1 in 5 children in our community are missing out on the support and opportunities they need to thrive. Support that is available is offered in isolation and often can’t address the interrelated nature of children’s needs. Young people who miss out on the support that their peers receive are at greater risk of negative outcomes in later life - including school exclusion and poor mental health.

Working with over 50 schools in West London, we provide wrap-around support that helps young people to build their confidence, develop new skills, progress at school and get on track to thrive. Each programme is led by a WLZ Link Worker, who is based in school and supports 40 children over 2 years, and includes specialist support and activities delivered by our local partners. By joining up support in the community we work to ensure young people get the right support, in the right way.
