Shobana Jeyasingh Dance (SJD) is one of the UK’s most innovative and influential contemporary dance companies, led by acclaimed choreographer Shobana Jeyasingh CBE. For over 30 years, SJD has presented over 60 intellectually curious works, rooted in excellence, exploring the experience of cultures living side by side in the 21st century. Our Creative Learning programme provides unique opportunities for 2000 people each year at all stages of life to experience creativity in thinking and moving.
Solution
Our commitment to excellence as well as social and artistic impact remains steadfast and, in the year ahead, with your support, we will: -begin the journey to producing adventurous, visually exhilarating, and significant contemporary dance works for stage, site, and screen, presenting new perspectives and playing a significant role in lasting social change. - increase reach and deepen engagement, bringing dance and creativity to non-traditional audiences through SJD’s adventurous Creative Learning programme.
