This campaign has now closed
This year, we have been thinking about our carbon footprint, and we will be raising money to help Carn to Cove invest in an electric vehicle to reduce our carbon footprint, help fulfil our aim to be carbon neutral by 2030 and allow us to take advantage of publicity opportunities afforded by branding a vehicle.

Situation
Cornwall is very rural, with poor public transport provision. We travel an average of 35,000 miles each year visiting our dispersed rural communities, often with equipment on board to deliver film screenings or theatrical events, which means road travel in a van is essential to our work. The rising cost of fuel, plus the damage to the environment from 20 tons of CO2 emissions per year is a genuine concern both to us as an organisation, and to our audiences.
Solution
By investing in an electric vehicle, to be used across the organisation, we will reduce the number of diesel miles we clock up each year, thereby saving money spent of fuel expenses. We will take advantage of the electric charging points available on our site to ensure the vehicle is ready to be used by any member of staff and will be spacious enough to accommodate the varied loads we often have to carry. As an additional benefit, we will use the vehicle to promote the charities programmes.
