A lack of creative opportunities for children and families in Barton Hill, Bristol. Travelling Light is based in Barton Hill, an inner-city area of rich cultural diversity, where a high number of children are in low-income families and face income deprivation. There are limited opportunities for children and their families to visit the theatre, due to a number of barriers, including financial, transport and concerns about feeling unwelcome.

This Christmas we will offer a free theatre trip for Barton Hill children and families to see our family show, Belle and Sebastien. The show will provide a joyful experience for families to share together. Transport will be provided, and a group trip will ensure a welcoming and accessible experience. Families will continue their engagement through free workshops in the school holidays, delivered with community partners to support children most in need and including healthy meals.
