We support parents and carers who are disadvantaged, face discrimination or gender inequality. 54,000 pregnant women and new mothers unwillingly lose their jobs annually. 13 million working parents make up more than 1/3 of the UK workforce. 7 in 10 working parents consider their childcare needs before applying for a new job or promotion. Only 2 in 10 jobs are advertised with flexible options. Our mission is to remove the barriers that people with caring responsibilities face in the workplace.

Our award-winning team provide free legal advice to parents and carers on their rights at work. Throughout 2021-22, 83% of the queries received by this team were from women. 61% of advice enquiries were from people on a low income. These women access our free legal advice as they feel underrepresented in the workplace. Our advisors empower female employees so they can take informed, justified and lawful actions resulting in meaningful change – improving both their career and family life.
