We are seeking funding for a new 2 tier education programme for 2022/2023. Building on last year's campaign - delivering bespoke study days, we wish to expand our education by offering on an accessible online format too. We will provide a 13 module free course covering all aspects of pre-eclampsia.

Situation
Pre-eclampsia is a potentially fatal disease of pregnancy affecting 70,000 women in the UK every year. Approx. 1200 babies and 10 women will die from pre-eclampsia with those in deprived areas even more at risk. Most pre-eclampsia deaths are preventable when it is accurately diagnosed and managed. Since 1992 APEC has provided high quality professional education and it forms an integral part of our commitment to the government's ambition of halving maternal and neonatal deaths in the UK by 2030.
Solution
In order to provide education for as many healthcare professionals as possible, we are working with NHS colleagues to create a new online learning course to sit alongside our bespoke study days. Since 2018 we have provided 1.8 million hours of CPD accredited online learning. In 2022/23 we hope that by providing the addition of 13 specialised short courses, healthcare practitioners can access the learning relevant to them, gain a qualification and put the knowledge into practice immediately.
