As the UK’s leading theatre for children, we believe in the power of theatre to transform young lives. Through our Community Partnerships Programme, we offer disadvantaged young Londoners a creative environment in which they can be inspired, empowered and championed.

At the Unicorn, we believe that children from all backgrounds have a right to rich and meaningful cultural experiences. But theatre for young people is often considered a privilege or an exception, an issue further exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic and cost of living crisis. It is more urgent than ever that we defend and champion children’s right to a creative and fulfilling life.

We will offer high quality, inclusive theatrical experiences to children who wouldn’t usually have access to the arts. We will partner with London community organisations who expertly support disadvantaged children such as those in hospital, those with access or additional needs and those living in poverty. Together, we will design and deliver theatre workshops to meet the specific needs of these groups, and distribute 800 free theatre tickets to disadvantaged children and their families.
