Many people in rural communities across Africa face debilitating disadvantages. In Tanzania women with albinism are ostracized and rejected. In Sierra Leone, many have lost limbs in the civil war. In northern Uganda, youth have been traumatized by war and lack education and skills to make a living. Climate change, deforestation and the after-effects of the pandemic add to the challenges. A lack of income and low crop yields adversely affects health, education and any hope for the future.

We aim to see people empowered through beekeeping. To educate & train people who have faced physical, economic, psychological or environmental challenges in Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Ghana and Rwanda to become beekeepers & entrepreneurs. We aim to see lives changed as they learn new skills which will provide sustainable income through sales of honey & beeswax products. The project will increase levels of economic independence & food security & create supportive communities of beekeepers.
