Situation
Addressing the inadequate long-term support and care for vulnerable adults who live with enduring mental health stresses and illnesses. This isolated group has been sidelined for too long. Lack of resources in public services makes treatment difficult to access. Loneliness, confusion, public misunderstanding of these illnesses, stigma are ever present. Lots of recent focus on mental health, but mental illness gets left out of these conversations completely. We aim to change that.
Solution
Every family with a mentally ill child, worries about who will love and care for their loved one when they are no longer able to. Through our Outreach Programme, Day Centres and Supported Homes for Life, we aim to do exactly that - enabling these troubled adults to live with dignity, supported with any daily tasks they may be struggling with, keeping them safe, in a comfortable and friendly environment - encouraging social interaction and helping them to live their best life.
