Nafsiyat provides psychotherapy and counselling services to people from London's diverse religious, cultural and ethnic communities. We believe in the power of psychotherapy and understand that for therapy to work, it needs to be delivered by a person who understands our client's background.

Beneficiaries
Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities in London struggle to access psychotherapy and counselling services. Furthermore, traditional psychotherapy is not adequately able to respond to the needs of different social identities. Non-English speakers often feel stunted by the necessity to use a translator in therapy settings, which can slow the therapeutic process. Our language provision and intercultural therapy approach allow clients to express themselves in their native language.
We will continue to provide our intercultural therapy training, which all our therapists receive, ensuring the therapy setting is closely monitored to appropriately deal with issues of cultural conflict. This allows Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities to process their trauma in a safe space. Additionally, our ability to provide this therapy in over 20 languages means that non-English speakers can express things they may be unable to in a second language.
