Since the pandemic SafeNet has seen an escalating demand for services and in the severity and complexity of abuse experienced. Our residents are dealing with the trauma of domestic abuse, homelessness and severe financial constraints while trying to manage the effects this is having on them and their children's mental health. All counselling services are heavily over subscribed. We aim to provide access to immediate trauma-informed counselling in the safe space necessary to maximise recovery.

SafeNet will offer a trauma-informed approach to recovery for domestic abuse survivors by partnering with agencies to provide specialist therapy sessions for our clients. Together with domestic abuse, housing, health, financial and parenting support from our highly experienced staff, this will provide the essential holistic support necessary for maximising positive outcomes in all aspects of a survivor's journey. This in turn minimises the risk of distress and re-traumatisation in the future.
