More than 500 million people live in rural communities in Africa alone, and they risk being left behind because education, healthcare, agricultural inputs, markets, and other critical services needed to end the poverty cycles are simply out of reach. Our mission is to mobilise people through 'The Power of Bicycles’ in order to improve access to education, health services and economic opportunity in rural regions of the world where distance is a challenge.

WBR manufactures and distributes rugged, specially designed, locally assembled bicycles to students, health service providers, entrepreneurs, and workers. We train community-based bicycle mechanics, connect end-users to our sustainable supply chain of spare parts to support bicycle use on a long-term basis, and partner with communities who locally manage programmes. When communities have tools to meet their needs and can access essential services they break the cycle of poverty.
