Research suggests that given the choice, 50-74% of people express a preference to die at home, or in familiar surroundings with their loved ones with them. Carers are often unsure about how best to support their loved ones and enable them to spend their last few days at home rather than in a hospital. For many people living with a terminal illness, this will be their last Christmas, there's a need for more families to be supported at home to make precious memories of one last Christmas together.
Beaumond House provides person centred care, advice and support which aim to improve the quality of life of patients. The team enable patients to remain at home and maintain a comfortable quality of life in their own familiar surroundings. They help with personal care, emotional support and respite for carers and families at home. Our visits are not time limited; we spend as much time as required to support our patients and carers, during the day and overnight, 365 days a year.
