We are raising funds for Art Superstars! a programme of free creative activities for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who live in the deprived neighbourhoods of Newham. This programme was previously well over subscribed, but we need to raise money to keep it going!

Disabled children in Newham are currently underserved by arts and culture and are missing out on its transformative benefits. To address this problem, last year we piloted a bespoke Disability arts programme for kids called ART SUPERSTARS! providing 65 SEND children with creative and cultural enrichment opportunities that they would not otherwise have had, including exposure to real professional artists. The appetite was huge and we had to turn people away.
We will solve the the lack of access to art and artists among Disabled children by raising funds to deliver a further 60 ART SUPERSTARS! sessions for 100 children in the deprived wards of Newham. Children will explore a range of fun and stimulating arts and crafts, from collage to printing, with sensory materials led by artists with extensive experience of working with Disabled children. They will be offered a range of learning methods including accessible handouts.
