Haringey has a highly diverse population and is the 4th most deprived borough in London. Low income families, including 13,000+ children are mainly located in the east; 28% of households are overcrowded. People in these areas experience bad or very bad health. 24% of children in year 6 are classified as obese, rising to 35% in some areas. Due to COVID-19, many young people have missed significant education, have experienced mental ill health and missed out on social and emotional development.

Haringey Giving will use funds raised to give out as grants to support the activities and core costs of local grass roots organisations who support children and young people experiencing disadvantage in Haringey. Our focus will be on supporting community groups operating the east of the borough, although other areas within Haringey may also be funded.
