Situation
We are solving the issues and challenges associated with inner-city child poverty. Many of the children have no opportunity to go out of London to the countryside of coast with their families. This is due to a lack of money, time and unfortunately in some cases care. The children lack the experiences that will aid their personal development and the opportunity to try new things and make new friends. Some have a narrow outlook on life which is linked to their limited experience of new places.
Solution
By providing day trips with other children, outside of London at a range of activity centres and sports/games in parks. We provide door-to-door transport, support staff, comprehensive risk-assessing and safeguarding and very low to free access to the trips. All meals are provided. Depending on age we do a range of activities such as sailing, canoeing, mountain walking, camp building, wild-life walks, archery, orienteering, river and sea swimming, and a range of visits to local attractions.
