120 disadvantaged children in West London will benefit from 6 weeks of fun and healthy activities. School holidays are a difficult time of year for many families: abuse increase, safeguarding concerns can go unnoticed and financial constraints mean children spend time at home with no stimulation.

We care for children between the age of 5-11 who have experienced acute trauma. Many of our families live in poverty and regularly come up against economic, social and linguistic barriers to inclusion. Our children do not have the same school holidays compared to their peers. They have little room to play, live in overcrowded homes and are excluded from play groups. 95% of our children are referred to us by Social Services and are affected by abuse, domestic violence, bereavement and Obesity.

For 6 weeks of the Summer Holidays, we will organise fun, varied and stimulating activities and trips for children recovering from trauma. We help their healing through non-traditional approaches, such as team sports, play and games. Our unique model sees each child given adult time and attention, something they often feel unworthy of. We are able to achieve this through a high ratio of 1 adult to every 2 children, which instils confidence and self-belief in every child we care for.
