We have been restoring Westcountry rivers for over 26 years. For the species that live in the water or on the banks, these rivers are home. We want to continue protecting these habitats so these animals can have a place to thrive.

Our rivers are important habitats for wildlife and for people. They are however, in need of our help. The modern world is impacting on the health of our rivers, and on the homes of species such as the otter and trout. The changing climate and modern practices are causing rivers to become damaged and polluted with sewage, soils, plastics and chemicals. The animals that live in them have no where else to go, so let’s change that by protecting our rivers for them.

We will continue to work with the farming, fishing and local communities to improve river habitats. What we do is underpinned by science, evidence and experience and a commitment to the resilience of the region’s freshwater resources. By working closely with these communities we will increase awareness and can work together to improve river health for the species that rely on them for their home.
