2021 saw a massive increase in awareness of the climate crisis. However, the gaps between promises and delivery remain significant: the targets and commitment agreed by the UK Government and at COP26 are not guaranteed. Climate change disproportionately affects people of lower economic means, who are exposed & vulnerable to the impacts. It is essential that solutions are designed equitably. We cannot let climate fall off the agenda or let net zero become part of a manufactured culture war.

The Great Big Green Week: we invite groups to organise or join an activity relating to climate or nature including litter picks, electric car showrooms, cycle rides, swap shops, repair cafes, music and theatre etc.This moment, accessible to all, celebrates the huge range of people who are taking action on climate change across the country.The visibility of a wide-ranging, diverse moment that continues to build every year will help to maintain climate as a priority for action from the Government.
