Last year, we supported 570 women and girls who’d been through sexual violence or abuse with our specialist counselling, advocacy and helpline, but we know there are many who don’t use our services for a range of reasons, including some of the most marginalised, and we want to address this.

1 in 5 women in England & Wales has been subjected to sexual violence since age 16 and 2.4 million women were sexually abused as children. These experiences have significant, long-term impacts on the health and lives of women. Over 90% of sexual violence and abuse survivors experience Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and depression, self-harm and suicide attempts are common. Some marginalised women are disproportionately subjected to sexual violence and face greater barriers to accessing support.

By offering a holistic range of specialist services run by women for women & girls in a women-only safe space, we put survivors at the centre and recognise each woman and her needs are unique. We provide long- and short-term counselling, Independent Sexual Violence Advocacy services (for those who want to report to the police), and helpline support by Freephone, SMS & email. Through targeted outreach work and by increasing our capacity, we'll reach more of the women who need our services.
