Baytree is situated in a poor and underserved area in Lambeth, marked by its gang crime, violence, insecurity and trauma. All families we work with are suffering not just from poverty and its consequences: poor health, poor mental health, overcrowded accommodation but also from social isolation. This means poor aspirations, and weak social networks to sustain those who raise their aspirations. A great barrier many of them is poor use of English and poor literacy.

We offer a safe and beautiful space where every woman and girl is listened to and feels welcome. For Women: We deliver activities daily from 9.30 am to 3 pm (except Fridays). All activities are based around our five pillars: Family Stability; Financial Stability; Education; Employment and Wellbeing. For girls we offer a wide range of positive activities, academic support and career advise and guidance. This enables the women and girls that come to Baytree to break the cycle of poverty for good.
