Climate Ed sends volunteers into schools to teach children about climate change and empower them to take action. Children want to get involved with climate activism but they need support and that's what we provide: knowledge and inspiration to tackle the climate crisis and safeguard our future.

The August IPCC report warned that we are facing a ‘Code Red’ on climate and annual CO2 emissions are still increasing. To reduce our emissions major lifestyle changes are required. Climate change is the top environmental issue children are concerned about but only 4% feel they are taught enough about it in school. Also 75% of teachers feel they haven’t received adequate training to teach about climate change. We aim to give children the information inspiration they need to address the problem.

Our key aims are to: - Increase understanding of climate change among children and what they can do about it. - Inspire children and their families to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions (in domestic energy, travel, food and general consumption). - Reduce climate anxiety among children by making them feel empowered to take action. We do this by sending trained Climate Ed volunteers into schools to deliver a structured programme of workshops about climate science and carbon footprints.
