    Situation

Rooted in South Bristol, we are aware that there is an increasing number of families and schools who face a financial barrier when accessing the performing arts. According to the 2022/23 JSNA Health & Wellbeing Profile, 10 of Bristol's most deprived wards are in South Bristol. We are building meaningful relationships within our community to improve our social impact, promoting cultural capital by removing barriers that can make arts inaccessible. We want to do so much more...

    Solution

We will double the number of free bursary places in 2024/25 right across our Get Involved programme. We will widen the geographical reach of bursary places for all workshops beyond Bedminster & Southville to Knowle West, Filwood & beyond. By working directly with other charities & community groups, we will extend our financial difficulty ticket options across our entire programme & increase awareness of the offer within communities from the most deprived wards in Bristol.
