    Situation

Children's abilities are the same everywhere but opportunity isn't. We work in Zambia, India & Nepal where even the brightest children are held back by extreme poverty, early marriage, displacement due to conflict and the pressure to earn a living. Many are refugees and/or have lost one or both of their parents. All of them are exceptionally gifted but High School completion rates for the poorest rural communities in Zambia, India & Nepal are just 3%, 13% & 10% respectively (UNESCO UIS 2019z).

    Solution

We select children aged 10 (2 girls for every boy) from areas of extreme rural poverty who are academically gifted with high levels of emotional intelligence. Invited to live at one of our Villages, they receive an excellent education, a nurturing & loving environment & practical life skills. After graduating from our programme at 18, they are becoming a new generation of teachers, health professionals, entrepreneurs, aid workers & leaders, equipped with the tools they need to change the world.
