Our Trustee Steve Tingle, is running multiple marathons to raise vital funds and awareness for Care Network, a community charity that supports people in BwD to live safe, happy, independent lives. Steve has entered 3 marathons - Chester and Amsterdam in October 2023, and Manchester in April 2024!

Situation
Whether it's support for an individual, families, or in our community, our organisation works hard to do everything we can to inform and connect local people with quality, reliable services to empower them to make choices which foster independent, healthy and safe lives. Steve is fundraising by completing 3 maratons, both in the UK and abroad, in order to improve our services offered in Blackburn with Darwen and develop our work further to improve our service users' experience.
Solution
Additional funding will enable us to invest more into our work, creating more opportunities to support those most in need in our local community. We are an advocate in Blackburn with Darwen for health and wellbeing, and plan to raise awareness of our services and support via Steve's campaign, boosting health and wellbeing through sharing his inspiring story and encouraging more people to get out and get active.
