1) to support people who are economically disadvantaged and would be unable to afford the cost of private bio-banking 2) to support people with a family history of cancer 3) to promote the use of stem cell therapies which have the potential to cure a wide range of diseases 4) to create a bank of stem cells for treatments and research 5) to reduce need for animal testing 6) to reduce NHS costs especially with regards to future treatments and collection of stem cells through bone marrow operations

Cord blood stem cells are undifferentiated, allowing them to be used in all parts of the body, giving them the potential to cure hundreds of diseases. They also reduce the need for animal testing. Although not our primary objective, we are aware of the huge potential of having a bank of stem cells which can be used to treat blood cancers, as well so many other diseases and illnesses. The longevity of these cells has proved they are as good 30 years later.
