Every family needs a little help from time to time. But some face challenges so severe that the safety, happiness and health of their children are in jeopardy. Families have told us that the pandemic has left them unable to get work, worried about where the next meal will come from and overwhelmed by stress and loss. This year more than 38,000 children in Scotland will suffer abuse and 1 in 4 (260,000) live in poverty. Our work to keep Scotland's children safe has never been more needed.

We give practical and emotional support to families under stress and in crisis across many of Scotland’s communities. There’s no ‘one-size-fits all’. Our joint up approach across our national Children 1st Parentline online and phone service and local children and family services ensures that both children, parents and families work together to find a solution as well as 1-2-1 support tailored to their age, circumstances and wishes.
