We aim to provide cancer treatment and palliative care for adults and children in parts of the world where access to such facilities is at best scarce and at worst non existent. With a population of over 30 million, there is little palliative care available for cancer patients in Nepal and the number of positive Covid-19 cases and deaths has risen dramatically. There is a need for a new larger hospice and increased provision for the distribution of palliative care in the rural areas.

We are currently focusing Project Hospice Nepal which is a Rotary project led by teams in Nepal, New Zealand and the UK for the building of a new 20-24 bed hospice in Kathmandu to replace the 8 bed unit which is insufficient for the number of cancer patients who desperately need end of life care. The hospice will also be a centre of excellence for the training of palliative care professionals and a hub for the distribution of palliative care in the rural areas of the country.
