Children with cancer or life-challenging conditions can spend days, weeks or even months in hospital undergoing gruelling treatment plans. Research shows that the environment they are treated in makes a huge difference to their experience in hospital and can even impact how well they respond to treatment. Whilst our NHS hospital partners provide excellent clinical care, their restricted budgets don’t extend beyond essential medical needs.

Momentum Children’s Charity has 17 years experience of creating transformational ward refurbishments in local hospitals. We'll work with our NHS partners, along with leading designers, to transform hospital rooms from plain, clinical environments into child-friendly, positive spaces. We’ll use colourful artwork, and special lighting, furniture and toys to distract children from their anxiety and fear of treatment and create a more positive association for future hospital visits.
