Lewisham is one of the most deprived boroughs in the UK with few free or heavily subsidised high quality activities for children to mitigate the likelihood of involvement in gangs and knife crime. There is a lack of positive role models and exposure to those from different cultures and/or socio-economic backgrounds, a lack of access to the transformative power of the performing arts, which build not just performance skills, but a wide variety of life-skills.

Montage has 21 years of experience working with children, including the most disadvantaged and those with Special Educational Needs. They will now have somewhere fun to go on Saturdays and in their holidays. They will be stretched creatively (singing, dancing, acting) and make new friends. By the end of each course, they'll have performed in front of friends and family - giving a real sense of achievement. Through discovering drama and natural creativity they will grow in self confidence.
