Your donations will support our core costs. With your support, we'll develop our vital hygiene work. You'll help girls stay in school as we'll develop our menstrual hygiene programme. And with the development of an income generating loans programme, you'll empower women to escape the poverty trap.

Situation
COVID-19 vaccine roll-outs are years away from reaching the countries we serve, making hand hygiene their first line of defence against the pandemic. In countries like Zambia, 20-30% of girls miss school during their period, but with relevant education and training on menstrual health and hygiene, this can be reduced. And finally, to sustainably reduce poverty, women need to be empowered to develop incomes and livelihoods, once they are freed from having to trek to find water every day.
Solution
With your support, Just a Drop will develop its work across each area. We'll provide relevant hygiene education and training, with access to safe water and soap-making, so communities can wash their hands, the first line of defence against diseases like COVID-19. By developing our menstrual hygiene programme, school drop-out rates of adolescent girls will decrease as stigmas are removed. Income generating loans will empower women to open small businesses, dramatically improving livelihoods.
