Migraine affects 23% of UK population- 190,000 migraine attacks/day in the UK, affecting 1 in 4 households in the UK, and is 2nd highest cause of disability and mental health problems. GPs only receive 4 hours of training on migraine in their entire career, despite the huge need. As a result, migraine remains undiagnosed and under-treated in 50% of patients. Due to COVID, the migraine cases increased dramatically while NHS services reduced drastically and virtually inaccessible for many people.

The National Migraine Centre was established in 1980 and is one of the leading UK charities providing specialist and evidence-based support for people with migraine and cluster headaches. We offer i) headache specialist support; ii) education about headache and migraine diagnosis and management for all healthcare professionals; iii) support people with migraine and their families with outreach, advice and education. 99% of service users would recommend our services.
