This campaign has now closed
During the Covid pandemic we have relied on the internet to access information, entertainment, goods and services, and to keep in touch with friends and family. Many disabled people in Kent lack digital access and skills, and face isolation and loneliness. Help Compaid to close this digital divide.

Situation
Compaid is reducing digital exclusion for disabled, older and other vulnerable people with complex needs. These individuals may lack confidence, skills and access to get online and enjoy the benefits of the internet that the rest of us take for granted. This digital divide has become even wider during the Covid pandemic, as public spaces have closed and face to face or telephone support reduced.
Solution
Our team of staff and volunteer trainers help digitally excluded people in Kent to learn skills and gain confidence at their own pace, with one to one support sessions. These have been held remotely during lockdown but are now returning to face to face locations. Sessions will help learners achieve their own personal objectives, from contacting family and friends online, to moving into work. We will provide digital devices and broadband data to those who do not have access to these at home.
