Christmas is a magical time of year. But it comes at a price. On average we spend 29% more in December than in other months. For the 44% of Southwark’s children who live in poverty Christmas magic is a lot harder to come by. Despite the emotional pressure to make Christmas special, many families simply don’t have the money for any festive treats. For these kids, Christmas will be like any other day. No overflowing plates of delicious food, no visit from Santa, and no special festive memories.

We believe no child should have to go without, especially at Christmas. Our hampers contain everything needed for Christmas dinner for the whole family - sprouts included. Your donation will help us make sure that no-one in Southwark goes hungry over the festive period. We also provide presents for every child so no-one feels forgotten by Santa. Sometimes these presents are the only ones the children receive, so you are giving them the thrill of tearing open a gift especially for them.
