Shilpa Children’s Home in Colombo is a privately-run sanctuary for 30 girls from deprived backgrounds. Providing them with a safe environment in which to grow and learn is an expensive business and Shilpa urgently needs £5,000 to help with running costs, working through Yala Fund in the UK.

Shilpa Children's Home employs 4 matrons to look after the girls. Inflation is rising in Sri Lanka and Shilpa is finding it difficult to pay competitive salaries to attract the best people.

Raising money will make it easier for Shilpa to employ experienced matrons and carers.
