To enable Arachne to continue providing a range of accessible training, welfare, and well-being advice to improve the quality of life and prospects of all women in the London area.

    Poverty and lack of attainment in education and employment due to language barriers, physical and mental health issues, lack of skills, ethnic and cultural barriers, poor health and lack of confidence resulting in limited employment opportunities, unfulfilled potential and poverty. Stress and anxiety caused by poverty and lack of awareness of available support within the community. Isolation, lonlieness and lack of connectivity to the community, particularly amongst the aged.

    By providing: • twice weekly drop-in, one-to-one welfare and social advice sessions. • adult community learning classes and employment training in small, supportive groups. • health information and well-being sessions. • recreational/cultural/creative activities. • encouraging women’s active participation and engagement in determining policies that affect their lives. • Improving women’s mental and physical health through accessible exercise classes and excursions to places of interest.
