Situation
Disabled children are less able to be active and keep fit than their non-disabled peers. Our accessible sports sessions have been closed for over a year through 3 lockdowns, and our users need safe, accessible sports sessions to help them get active, more fit, lose weight and above all improve the deterioration in their mental health caused by the long lockdowns and inactivity.
Solution
We will solve the problem by providing a range of after school sports activities including swimming, ice skating, cycling, exercise and dance. The sessions will be held in small groups to ensure individual attention and safety of children. Sessions are tailored to the needs of users and planned with input from therapists and professionals.
