Water resources are unstable due to climate change, with Jordan being the most water poor country. It is also home to a diversity of people and faith. Differences are often presented as a problem that divides people and water scarcity causes suffering and conflict. Yet, water and faith can be shared resources to address these issues but it needs creativity to rethink the problems and their solutions. How can people of different faiths address the shared problem of challenged water resources?

With over a decade's experience in UK bringing faiths together, our project will creatively draw from the traditions and teachings on water as a gift in Muslim and Christian traditions. We will gather groups to read and discuss texts that teach us to care for creation and water as a gift that sustains life. Through creative crafts, we will reflect together on the texts and hear the experiences of others, to identify local challenges and find ways to resolve water resource problems together.
