Being homeless is a disaster for anyone; for a young person it can be a tragedy that sets a pattern for life. It is our mission to prevent this across Hertfordshire. The winter months are the most difficult for those facing homelessness. By donating, you will enable us to transform young lives.

Since the onset of Covid19, young people have been disproportionately impacted. Their mental health has been severely affected and with the financial pressures increasing the likelihood of family breakdown, the number of young people at risk of becoming homeless in Hertfordshire has increased and is expected to rise over the next 12-18 months. This is in addition to the young people and their families who we expect to help who are already homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Our focus is on preventing homelessness by empowering people to make positive informed choices. Last year, we supported 2495 young people and 150 families by adapting and continuing to provide our services to those in need. The services focus on three priority areas which are prevention and early intervention, crisis intervention and independent living support. Each area supports young people and their needs through specialist, focused help with the aim of preventing youth homelessness.
